The Paragliding World Cup headed to Panchgani, India, on February 14-21 for the sixth event of the 2025 season.
Located in the Satara district of Maharashtra, Panchgani is known for its reliable flying conditions and distinctive landscape. Surrounded by five hills in the Sahyadri mountain range and overlooking the Krishna River and the Dhom Dam, the area combines scenic beauty with terrain perfectly suited for competition flying.
Strong thermals, volcanic plateau landscapes, and tactical racing were in the menu during the 7 valid tasks of between 71.9km and 79.8km.
Team Ozone claimed the victory with a solid line up made up by Alexander Skvortsov, Gleb Sukhotskiy, Jacob Butterworth, and Julian Robinson, all flying Enzo 3.
Ozone also dominated the overall podium with Michael Sigel (SUI) ahead of Manuel Laly (FRA) and Mario Montero (BRA), on Enzo 3’s.
In the female class, Silvia Buzzi from Italy won with a comfortable margin on her Zeno 2, followed by Jun Yomo (JPN), also on a Zeno 2 and Olga Plotnikova (KAZ) on her Photon.
