Do you have a nickname that you go by?
Charly, “The Machine”

Where do you live?
My heart lives in Morzine while my home is a few kilometers west of Chambery where the flatland disappears at the first reach of the Alps.

What do you do for work?
I work for the French Ministry of Sports full time, dedicated to high level paragliding pilots of the French Free Flight Federation (FFVL) since 2023.

What year, and how old were you when you started flying?
I was 15th in 1993 when I started paragliding in Morzine

Did a family member introduce you to paragliding? Does anyone else in your family fly?
No one was flying in my family, I just followed my dream to join the birds up there.

What other passions do you have, or activities do you enjoy?
Eating chocolate! Hiking, biking in the mountain!

Why is flying important to you, and what does flying mean to you?
Flying is freedom, respect of elements, sharing adventures with friend!

Flying Achievements:

  • 1st PWCA Superfinal 2009, Poggio Bustone Italy
  • 1st FAI World Championship 20111, Piedrahita, Spain
  • 3 World Record holder (speed 25km FAI triangle, speed 50km FAI triangle, free distance with 3 turnpoints 476 km)

Do you have any goals, dreams or plans for the next 1-2 years that you want to share?
Improve my pilot skills and go for some record attempt expeditions
