Ozone has once again dominated the British Open with both the Overall and Serial class wins! The Long Mynd site delivered excellent flying with 4 out of 4 valid tasks and over 240km flown. Veteran sailplane British Champion pilot, John Cardiff, flew majestically on his Mantra to take the serial class win, and 3rd spot overall. His intelligent use of gliding lines and bold moves could have won him the competition; there is a lot to be learnt from this old boy! Russ managed to keep his cool in the weak XC conditions and flew the Mantra R07 to take the overall win, just like we knew he would! ;-) However, Russ reports that it was close and it came down to the final task when Russ beat Mads Syndergaard with a lengthy final glide to take the comp by just 5 points!
