Nick Donini is the son of Italian Paragliding legend, Luca Donini, which makes his recent competition success less surprising, but no less impressive. At 17 years old, Nick is now the Italian National PG Champion in both Acro and XC! He recently took first overall, flying his EnZo. The first 6 places in the championship were filled by Ozone Pilots. Christian Biasi and Luca Donini followed Nick on the podium. The Team event was won by AIRE Cornizzolo, our Italian distributor. It was a spectacular week of flying in Meduno, with six excellent flying days and tasks from 52 to 109km. The level of competition was high, with former Italian Champions, top ranked PWC pilots, and World / European champions in the ranking. Nicola only received his flying license less than a year ago, and this was his first official FAI competition. From the beginning of the event, he was in the lead gaggle (together with his father, Luca), and after winning two tasks and flying consistently throughout, he mounted the podium with coolness and determination Full results can be seen here.
