Joanna Di Grigoli

Joanna is a Venezuelan pilot based in Annecy, France, where she frequently flies cross-country in the French Alps. She has been flying since 2000 after fulfilling her childhood dream and she hasn’t stopped since.

Joa, as her friends call her, has dedicated much of her life to paragliding: from being a professional pilot and competing for almost 20 years, to working behind the scenes of our sport.

This professional translator is also passionate about writing, which has taken her to work in the core of our sport as editor of Cross Country en Español, contributor for Cross Country Magazine, and most recently as Race Expert for the Red Bull X-Alps.

Joanna joined Ozone in 2023 as social media manager for France and now also manages the news and content for our website.

When she’s not chasing sunsets from the sky, Joanna can be found hiking and flying above her home mountains, foraging for mushrooms and berries, ski touring… or combining all of the latter.
