Après 10 manches validées, le 15ème Championnat du monde FAI vient de se terminer à Monteavena, en Italie. Le nouveau Champion du Monde est le Français Pierre REMI. La médaille d'argent revient au britannique Guy ANDERSON et deux médailles de bronze sont attribuées à Honorin HAMARD et au Slovénien Juric VIDIC. Seiko FUKUOKA NAVILLE, piote Ozone, conserve son titre et devient ainsi champion du monde pour la seconde fois. L'Australienne Kari ELIS et l'Italienne Silvia BUZZI la rejoignent sur le podium. A noter que les titulaires des deux podiums ainsi que dix des dix meilleurs pilotes volaient sous Ozone. Quelques uns de nos pilotes rapportent : Honorin hamard : " Une si belle compétition !. Beaucoup de bagarre jusqu'à la dernière manche ; c'était très excitant et Pierre REMY a finalement été le roi de la compétition grâce à une très bonne tactique dans la dernière manche. J'ai pour ma part défendu mon titre jusqu'au bout et je suis heureux de passer le flambeau à Pierre tout en partageant la troisième place avec Juric VIDIC ". Luc ARMANT, France. Je ne crois pas qu'il y ait eu par le passé un championnat comportant autant de manches.
