Epic Conditions at the Austrian Champs
Published on:

Pilots at the Austrian Championships enjoyed truly all-time conditions, with some of the greatest tasks ever flown in competition. During the four day event, more than 500kms were flown, including two FAI triangles of more than 150km in length. In conditions such as this, the true nature of paragliders and the true abilities of pilots are allowed to shine through. Ozone pilots swept the entire event, with 14 out of the top 15 overall pilots flying Ozone. Ozone pilots took first place in the Overall, Austrian Champ, Women's, and Serial classes.
Ozone Team Pilot, Alex Schalber, took first overall. Christoph Eder took second, and living legend, Armin Eder, was third.
Yvonne Dath won the women's category flying her M6. In the Serial Class, Stefan Brandlehner won while testflying an M6 (he is selling his own wing now). Second place went to Philipp Haag, flying an LM5.
