The 2012 season is now underway in the Northern Hemisphere, and already several National and World records have been set by Ozone pilots around the world. Here's a round-up of some of the most impressive XC flights this year on Ozone wings: Update: Ozone's Managing Director, Mike Cavanagh, recently made his way back onto the top of the UK XC League ranking. Mike also set a new declared out-and-return record with his friend Julian Robinson, who is currently just behind Mike in the points ranking. The duo flew a beautiful route in Scotland to get the record, details here. The online XC Contest shows the top 4 pilots all flying Ozone on May 30th, with 4 massive 200km+ triangle flights! Further down the ranking, we see a 260km flight by Kari Eisenhut, flying an Ozone Mantra R11. Very impressive! On the 29th of May, Stephane Drouin completed an FAI Triangle World speed record with his R11 (pending ratification). And here's a roundup of the top XC Contest flights of the year, so far. At the top of the list is Thomas Puthod's new FAI Triangle World record, at 269.94kms! Thomas finished his triangle by flying all the way back to his launch location, like a true sportsman. Well done! Mixed in between rainy days (and weeks), the French Alps have yielded some incredible XC flying already this year. Check out the French XC League page, showing 9 out of the top 10 best flights of the year on Ozone wings: http://parapente.ffvl.fr/cfd/liste/2011 Here at Ozone we are overjoyed to see so many thousands of kilometers of XC flying being done on our wings this year, and we're very proud to have supplied so many of the world's best XC pilots with their wings of choice. We'd like to send our best wishes out to all of you who are flying Ozone this summer, we wish you many safe and distant landings! Cheers from all the Team.
