The Ozone Caribbean XC Challenge... 2008!

After a great week of Flying, the Ozone Caribbean Challenge has come to a close.
Cloudbase during the comp was relatively low during, with bases around 1500m . However, thermals were healthy and organized most of the time and conditions were generally suitable for the whole pack. Everyone flew every flyable day, many of them several times.
Three days of brilliant flying yielded a lot of personal best flights before the last day finished the comp off with a bit of Caribbean rain.
A big congratulations to Yoshiki Oka, our Distributor for Japan, who won the 'Category 2' class with his Geo II! Nice work, Oka San! For full results and more daily reports and info, please go to the Caribbean XC page, click here. Also, tracklogs of the best flights can be seen there, and at right.
Thanks to Jocky Sanderson and Julian Molina for running an excellent comp, again! This was the third annual Ozone Caribbean XC Challenge, and we're happy to say that they have all gone exceedingly well with good conditions and great flights for all.
Cheers from all the Team, and we hope that those of you who didn't make it down to the Caribbean for tropical XC are enjoying the flying, wherever you are.
