Sam Jobard
Sam started to fly in 1996 when he was 14. His dad, who started to fly a couple years earlier, introduced him to paragliding. His memorable moments?
“My first vol-bivouac trip was in my home mountains, the Ardèche. I left my house for two days of hiking, then came back and landed five minutes from my house after a flight of 40 km. Not a big feat, but a big smile all along.
I did a two month solo trip in Morocco, where I found superb flights on the Atlantic coast, and in the Atlas Mountains. I’ll always remember a beautiful soaring flight in the French Breton coast, very early in the morning.
Taking off from the Frettes Pass near Annecy after a fast hike before the first light to land right on time to be at work at 8am…
So many good memories that I have trouble choosing! I try to see all the flights as a memorable moments! And this is the case, every time my feet leave the ground it is a magical moment.“
Sam joined the Ozone R&D team in 2018. He now heads up Ozone’s harness and accessories department, and is responsible for our exciting new range of harnesses.
