Ozone's Managing Director, Mike Cavanagh, got away from his desk to break a UK record with the first ever 100km declared FAI Triangle. This sets a new British record for the biggest declared triangle and also biggest triangle. Mike began the flight with several friends, and he says that they had some epic flying in the Cairngorms of Scotland. During the entire flight they did not cross a road, so the walk-outs would have been equally epic for the UK. Unfortunately it all "went a bit pants" in the last 6km and Mike was the only one to close the declaration. Mike reports, "After some increasingly desperate scratching, my final thermal to get me home was triggered by a massive herd of 200+ red deer!"
