The 2025 British Open Paramotor Championships took place from the 8th to the 13th of July at Bicester Aerodrome.
19 pilots competed in the PF1 class, with an additional 4 in the PL1 class.
Final results – General Classification:
1. Daniel Jones
2. Jonathan Hobbs (Ozone Viper)
3. Bruce Daniels (Ozone Viper)
4. Richard Womersley (Ozone Viper)
5. Adrian Southgate (Ozone Viper)
The only female pilot in the competition - and a standout performer - was Sandra Moreels from France, who secured 7th place overall, an excellent achievement.
The top-placing pilots flying an Ozone wing was Jonathan Hobbs (2nd) and Bruce Daniels (3rd), both flying Ozone Viper wings.
Adrian Southgate, another Ozone pilot, shared his experience:
"It was an incredible week of flying, friendly rivalry, and excellent organization.
I flew an Ozone Viper XC 18m with an Atom 80 - perfect for the economy and long navigation tasks. Everything worked flawlessly, though I did miss having a comp bottle for better fuel management.
The Viper XC proved its dominance once again, with six of the top eight pilots flying it.
We had perfect weather: dry, hot, and flyable every day. Mornings were dedicated to navigation (7.5 hours total), afternoons to economy tasks in active air, and evenings to precision flying in calm, golden light.
A big thank you to everyone involved- this was one of the most enjoyable and well-run comps I’ve ever taken part in. It reminded me exactly why I love this sport"
