NEW BRITISH RECORDS TO START THE SUMMER

Our friends Hugh Miller, Luke Nicol, Guy Anderson (Enzo 3s) and Graham Steel (Zeno) have set a new declared goal record in the UK with an amazing 246 km flight. They launched from Sharpenhoe (65 metres high!) on June 28 and flew past Oxford, Glastonbury and into Devon.
Hugh reports:
“It was an epic flight. Base was at 2000 ft for the first two hours then slowly rose till we were surfing convergence lines at 5,500 ft that looked like they stretched almost to Cornwall if we could have got going earlier”
A few days prior to this flight, on June 22nd, Mark Watts and Hugh Miller started the British summer with a 120 km out and return flight, also a new UK record, from Devils Dyke to beyond Buster and back. Mark and Hugh flew Enzo 3s.
