Product Info
The Swiftmax 2 builds on its predecessor's distance records, offering exceptional glide performance, thermalling efficiency, and passenger comfort in a robust design. Its EN-B certification and wide load range make it ideal for commercial pilots.
NEW FEATURES
- Improved performance with lower EN-B certification
- Robust enough for commercial use
- New airfoil, winglets, Rollercam trimmers, and 20mm risers
THE PILOT
The Swiftmax 2 is a high-performance tandem designed for XC flights with friends and commercial pilots flying demanding sites. Its solid, confidence-inspiring platform makes it an excellent choice for those seeking both performance and safety. It is suitable for experienced/intermediate pilots with the necessary qualifications.
THE TECH
The Swiftmax 2 shares design elements with the solo Swift series, including the SharkNose profile, 3-line architecture, and sail optimizations. The new version incorporates winglets to improve roll stability and reduce parasitic movements, enhancing comfort for both pilot and passenger.
It maintains a semi-lightweight construction for easy everyday use but has been reinforced in critical areas to improve durability and longevity. Fabric choices optimize weight savings while strengthening critical areas.
CERTIFICATION
- EN-B Certification for commercial tandem flights
- Wider certified weight range, with consistent performance and handling
IN FLIGHT
The light canopy and optimized trimming make it very easy on take off, from nill to strong winds.
Roll stability has a big impact on pilot and passenger comfort, the winglets reduce parasitic roll movements, often the cause of passenger motion sickness. Coupled with the dependable and solid profile the winglets creates a smooth magic carpet feel for high levels of comfort especially during long flights in turbulent conditions.
The lightweight design and trim optimisation offers energetic handling for efficient climbing. A high top speed with great stability and profile robustness, and the class leading glide performance make it the XC tandem of choice.
The easy energy conversion allows great flare and accurate and smooth landings.

The SwiftMax was very popular and we wanted to offer an improved version of this highly desirable tandem XC machine. From the design of the SwiftMax which offers the best of all worlds and with the feedback from our pilots, we made the SwiftMax2 an even more desirable machine.
The core design remains the same, with the same platform AR, number of cells.
The new SwiftMax offers now EN B certification which makes it as well as the most appealing tandem XC wing, now a serious companion for professional tandem flying.
As well as keeping the light design, we have also focused our attention to improve ageing and robustness. The best fabrics have been chosen to offer the best compromise lightweight / strength and the structure has been redesigned to optimise weight saving but also strengthen the critical areas in order to improve longevity.
We have added winglets to improve the stability in roll, which as well as improving the performance in straight line by removing parasite movements, it also gives pilot and passenger a much nicer experience, more comfortable.
Further work has been done to fine tune handling, to improve roll authority.
Updated risers, with 20mm webbing, rollercam, ear kit system, (new printed trimmer webbing for smooth operation).

The Swiftmax 2 delivers a powerful package. At its base is a super strong structure that absorbs turbulence offering a comfortable ‘magic-carpet’ like ride for pilot and passenger. Excellent ‘prise en charge’, dependable handling and very good levels of safety made the development process fun despite flying it in very demanding conditions.
Setting the trimmers asymmetrically whilst thermalling gave me an even better handling feel, slowing the inside/accelerating the outside a few cms lightens the brake pressure and increases the roll/yaw response for additional efficiency in climb performance.
