We are pleased and proud to announce that Yann Martail is the new PWC Champion of 2010, flying his Mantra R10.2. Yann won the title with a series of impressive and consistent results in the 7 tasks held at Pamukkale, Turkey. Juri Vidic of Slovenia finished just behind him in 2nd place overall, also flying an R10.2. 16 out of the top 20 pilots were flying the Mantra R10.2. Although this is the second year in a row that an Ozone pilot has won the Overall World Cup, 2010 has gone down in history as the best competition year that we at Ozone have had in our eleven year history, in terms of results. The majority of PWC events were won by Ozone pilots, and there have been some very impressive podium sweeps around the world at competitions from the National Level to the European Championships, and even a 10/10 Ozone sweep at the Pre-World Championships. Check out Philippe Broer's interview of Yann, here. In summary, we honestly don't have too much to say about this year's comp results, other than we're really very happy that we were able to provide an Open Class wing that so many pilots have truly enjoyed. The feedback has been wonderful and many pilots have told us that the R10 is the most fun and most amazing wing that they have ever flown - for us, that is the reward, and that is the point. That is our mission, accomplished. We care equally about our serial class wings as well, and we've been equally satisfied by the feedback coming in from this year's new wings. Pilots everywhere are loving the Buzz Z3 and Delta, and we're sure that these wings will continue to be appreciated during the coming seasons. Cheers from all the Team, we hope you enjoy the change of seasons!
