We would like to send a huge congratulations to the new world champions, Honorin Hamard, Seiko Fukuoka, and team Germany! With 10 tasks flown at a furious pace in varied conditions, Roldanillo delivered what many agreed was perhaps the best World Championships event of all time. We are very happy for Ozone pilots Honorin and Seiko, who have been crowned the new World Champions! Well done! The fight for the title was tight with only a few points separating the top ten pilots at the start of the last day, but Honorin managed to maintain both his cool and his lead to take the overall win. He flew consistently well, making very few mistakes whilst flying with an aggressive, courageous style which resulted in two task wins and the well-deserved title. Bravo Honorin! Seiko flew very well, remaining fast and solid throughout the competition and maintaining her lead with poise. Competition for the remaining women’s podium spots went right down to the wire with Ozone pilots Keiko Hiraki and Nicole Fedele jumping into 2nd and 3rd place respectively on the last task. Very well done for what was a hard fought battle. In the team event Germany proved to be the strongest nation, ahead of Slovenia and Spain - congratulations to all involved (Full results can be seen here). Very well done to all Ozone pilots who appeared on the podium, we are proud to have a World Championship winning wing but we would also like to thank all of the pilots who choose to fly Ozone. We love nothing more than developing cutting edge wings for ourselves and our friends to fly - it’s our passion, it’s what we do - but it is your passion and your commitment to the sport that continues to drive us. Thank you.
