The Ozium 3 is the natural evolution of the Ozium concept, incorporating the latest developments from the F*Race 2 while improving accessibility, durability, and ease of use for everyday pilots.
Designed as a true lightweight cross-country and adventure harness, it delivers high aerodynamic efficiency and excellent protection in an all-round package. The possibility to fly it more upright also makes it a great first pod harness for demanding XC apprentices.
The Ozium 3 is a lightweight, accessible and practical high-performance harness. Comfortable enough for long and demanding cross-country flights, light enough for hike & fly and robust enough for bivouac adventures, it offers a refined balance of performance, comfort, safety, and usability for everyday flying and is suitable for a wide range of pilots, from those wanting their first XC pod harness to experienced pilots.
Weighing 2.65 kg in size M (2.950 kg with accessories), the Ozium 3 offers an ideal balance between lightness, durability, and comfort. Robust materials are used throughout, with 70D ripstop fabric for the main structure and exterior, and double coated 20D ripstop in the tail. The structure uses 15 mm straps and metal buckles for precise, reliable adjustments.
The Ozium 3 benefits directly from the aerodynamic optimisation work carried out on the F*Race 2. The streamlined pod design has been refined and shortened to suit a wider range of pilots, improving comfort and accessibility while retaining excellent glide performance, and integrating multiple storage options.
Inspired by Submarine-style harness technology, the pod closes using a magnetic line system for consistent alignment and a clean aerodynamic profile in flight. This also makes entering and exiting the harness quick and intuitive, even in challenging take-off conditions.
The protection is identical to that of the F*Race2 model: the storage bag or micro-pump allow for quick and effortless inflation, and the internal pressure can also be adjusted during the flight thanks to the valve located at shoulder height. The protection extends from the thighs to above the lumbar region for effective impact absorption, whilst remaining compact when folded.
Compared to the F*Race 2, the Ozium 3 adopts a more accessible upright seated position, suitable for a wider range of pilots.
Stability can be fine-tuned via the ABS system, with both high and low lumbar settings allowing the harness to be adapted to individual pilot preferences.
A removable seat plate adds rigidity in the seating area, delivering a more direct and responsive feel when weight-shifting. The leg-strap system, inherited from the F*Race 2, ensures excellent comfort and manoeuvrability while maintaining consistent stability in turbulent air.
A key design priority. The Ozium 3 features quick-release buckles, two openable leg straps, and lightweight Edelrid Aura carabiners for fast and simple handling. Optional soft connectors can be used to further reduce weight.
An anti-forget locking system enhances safety during pre-flight checks. The front rescue container fits all types of modern reserves (round, square, steerable) and ensures the handle is always clearly visible and easy to reach with either hand. The foot installation after take off is very easy, and can be made even easier with some light accessories stored in the nose pocket.

Designing the Ozium 3 was a real challenge. Using feedback from previous models and building upon the knowledge accumulated with the F*Race 2, the Sublite, and the Forza, the Ozium 3 had to be versatile, lightweight, easy to use, and safe. Performance was a key focus of development: creating the best surface finish, reducing creases, optimizing the shape, while maintaining accessibility so it can remain a pod for first-time users of this type of harness. Every detail was carefully designed to offer the best performance for everyone.
We worked on weight and durability to find the best balance. By using materials we know well and an inflatable protection system that has proven its efficiency, the Ozium 3 has a small packed volume and the perfect weight for a compact, lightweight flying backpack. It’s ideal for versatile use: local flights, hike & fly, occasional vol-biv and travel.
After more than 15 years of designing paragliding harnesses, I believe the Ozium 3’s structure is a true success. The comfort and balance of the chassis are perfect. The back support has just the right amount of firmness, and the seat—with its removable pad and leg-strap construction—offers a delightful combination of comfort and piloting precision, even when flying with legs bent. With the ABS adjustments, it’s easy to fine-tune the harness’s stability, allowing you to tailor its characteristics to each pilot.
I love its streamlined design and the modern features of its accessories. For a harness designer, it can sometimes be difficult to choose a harness for your own personal flight bag. Without a doubt, it will be an Ozium 3. And cherry the on the cake, the Ozium 3 is now my everyday harness that I also use for my own adventures!

The Ozium 3 is the perfect combination of comfort, lightweight, durability, and high-performance. For me, it is the best and most sophisticated non-Submarine, light cross-country harness that Ozone has ever released. There are many nice details, adding to what was already great on the F*Race 2. One of my favorites is the magnetic pod-closure, the nice back support, or the massive packing compartment - opening the gateway to even the most remote vol-biv adventures.
It is very comfortable also on longer flights and feels very stable in the air with a clean streamlined finish and nice pressure in the fairing. All in all, a super versatile harness recommended for everybody, from cross-country beginners and leisure pilots to the most serious explorers.
