The third edition of the Sports Racing Series in Mantalegre, Portugal has come to a close.

SRS’ Ruth Jessop reports:

“Pal Takats was once again the one to watch, flying an Ozone Photon with a Forza 2 harness. He stormed ahead in task 1 with his best friend Serge (Christiaan Durrant) and leading lady Magdalena Janaway, giving the three Musketeers a 17-minute advantage over the rest of the field.

Task 2 culminated in a nail-biting battle to the finish line between Pal, taking a route through the hills and Yérmenson Agudelo (on a Photon) following the optimum line. Yérmenson won, but with not enough points to take overall victory from Pal.

Magdalena Janaway (on a Photon) got held up at the last turn point but that didn't stop her, instead it seemed to put even more engine oil in her wings. She put the foot down and overtook dozens of pilots, thus defending her overall 3rd place and title of fastest lady.

Just a reminder that the SRS is for EN B + C gliders, including 2 liners, and also has an under 85 kg and under 95 kg category.
