Last week was excellent for the Ozone XC / Competition Team, with the R07 and Mantra M2 pilots taking some top places. Russ Ogden is the British Champion for the 3rd time! Congrats Russ, that's awesome!
St Andre Les Alps was host to the final round of the British Championships, which also included the Dutch and Belgian National Championships. 140 pilots were treated to classic St Andre conditions with 5 tasks ranging from 45 to 87km.
It proved to be a highly competitive event with many of the top pilots pushing consistently hard and fast. Task 2 saw an Ozone 1-2-3 with Jamie Messenger, Craig Morgan and Stef Andre taking the the top three spots, all flying Mantra R07s!
The Open Class was won by Mads Syndergaard, with Ozone hot shots Jamie Messenger and Paul Schmit in 2nd and 3rd respectively, both flying their Mantra R07s. Other top 10 finishes were Stef Andre in 5th and Russell Ogden in 7th.
Ruud Vanderheijden won the overall serial class on his Mantra M2 and finished 3rd overall in the Dutch championships, well done Ruud!
Congratulations to Paul Schmit who is the 2007 Belgian Champion, flying his Mantra R07.
Congratulations also to Mark Hayman who flew consistently well all year and reached goal everyday during this comp to finish 3rd place overall in the British champs.
Also thanks to Mark Hayman who took all of the people photos at right.
Craig Morgan deserves a special mention, he was leading the championships but after an accident during task 3 he was unable to continue. We wish him a speedy recovery!
Cheers from all the Team, it's great to see so many Ozone Comp wings in the top spots!
