Ozone’s Designer, David Dagault, and 2 other former French Team members, Thomas Puthod and Stef Andre, went flying last weekend to test the new Mantra R07. The R07 is our Open Class Comp wing, which will be flown by select team pilots in the PWC this year for the purposes of performance research. The trio launched from Col de Bleyne on an average spring day and went for a little XC flight to test the new wings, and ended up flying a 160km out and return, together! Not bad for the first XC flight of the season, and their first flight on the wing. Needless to say, Thomas and Stef were impressed with the performance of the wing, and praised its stability at speed and its behavior in the strong spring lift (thermals up to 8m/s). Nice work, boys!
