In October 2023, a group of Ozone pilots travelled to Jordan at the gracious invitation of the Royal Jordanian Gliding Club. This marked the first official paramotor event in the country. The pilots explored new flying locations and introduced the local community to paramotoring, transforming it into a new sport and an attractive destination for paramotor enthusiasts.
Emilia Plak shared her experience, saying, "This was my first visit to Jordan, and I was truly impressed by the local culture, warm hospitality, and the wonderful atmosphere of the country and its people. We spent a total of 10 days flying in three different locations. Aqaba, a coastal destination by the Red Sea, was often windy, but we were fortunate to enjoy flights and even put on a night show for local authorities. Next, we headed to the renowned Wadi Rum, a place I had always dreamt of flying. It's a perfect spot for paramotoring, surrounded by rocky mountains and expansive desert flats – absolutely breathtaking! Petra, while extraordinary, proved to be a challenging place to fly due to its high altitude and location among towering rocky mountains. It's certainly not for beginners, with limited landing options and tricky weather conditions. I highly recommend exploring Petra by foot, as it's a remarkable experience. I would love to return to Jordan and explore even more flying locations!"
Kester Haynes says: "We flew in a "paramotor paradise" with warm skies and light winds we explored stunning landscapes feeling an ultimate freedom in remote desert landscapes, this coupled with an exceptional culture and hospitality. I highly recommend it as a paramotor travel destination"
Ozone Power would like to extend sincere thanks to the Royal Jordanian Gliding Club, and especially Captain Abdullah Nasarat, for hosting Ozone pilots and organizing such a well-structured tour. We wish you all the best in your future paramotor projects. We are confident that many paramotor pilots would love to visit your country.
