The 10th annual Moonshiners Paramotor Fly-In took place last weekend in Mountain City, Tennessee (USA), bringing pilots together once again for a weekend that celebrated far more than flying.

Widely regarded as one of the standout events on the paramotor calendar, Moonshiners has spent the past decade building a reputation for spectacular flying, unforgettable scenery and, above all, an exceptional sense of community.

Ducky Tysdal from Oklahoma Paramotor reflected on what made this year's anniversary gathering so special.

"To say this event was amazing feels like an understatement. Mountain City, Tennessee, offered some of the most breathtaking views you could ever ask for from the air."

While the Appalachian landscape provided an incredible backdrop, it was the people who made the biggest impression.

"Hands down, this community consists of some of the kindest individuals you will ever meet. It didn't take long before everyone felt less like a group of attendees and more like family, forging bonds and connections that are guaranteed to last a lifetime."

That spirit extended across generations. Ducky’s 15-year-old son joined him for the event, enjoying the opportunity to fly while forming friendships of his own.

"Leaving Mountain City at the end of the event was genuinely one of the hardest things we've done. This wasn't just a fly-in; it was an unforgettable experience with lifelong friends."
