Last week at the French PPG National Championships, Ozone pilots took first place overall, first place Women's, and first place 'Espoir' class - all flying Viper 2's. Perhaps most impressive is that the young Alex Mateos took first overall... French National Champion at age 18! Alex's sister, Coralie, won the Women's category... for the second time! Coralie was also French Champion in 2009 as well ;-) Raffaele Benetti was first in the 'Espoir' class (for competition amateurs).A hearty congratulations to Alex, Coralie, and Raffaele, for some excellent flying! It is very clear that the Mateos family is going to be a nearly unstoppable force in the coming years, and it's truly impressive what they have achieved already.
