Benoît Outters
Do you have a nickname that you go by?
Some of my friends call me “Ben”
Where do you live?
In Gattières, a typical village in the south of France, 20km flying from Gourdon
What do you do for work?
I am a fireman since 2018. I was a test pilot before (for Sup’air).
What year, and how old were you when you started flying?
I started paragliding in 2013 for the feeling of freedom and adventure. I was 23.
Did a family member introduce you to paragliding? Does anyone else in your family fly?
Not a family member but my best friend introduced me to it. My girlfriend flies as well and we share some good hike and fly trips.
What other passions do you have, or activities do you enjoy?
I am fond of all mountain activities in general : ultra trail races, climbing, ski touring, mountaineering, etc.
Why is flying important to you, and what does flying mean to you?
For me, paragliding represents the simplest way to travel, the most beautiful one as well, that appeals to all the senses.
When good conditions help, flights can become these magic and unforgettable moments that make sense in your life.
