We recently lost a friend and a team pilot, Philippe Nodet. Our thoughts are focused on his wife and daughter, who he has left behind, and we extend our sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to all of his friends and family.Philippe has also left us with a legacy of adventure flying that is incredibly inspiring. A native of the French Alps, Philippe brought his alpine flying skills to the Himalaya where he pushed adventure flying to new levels on several occasions in recent years. In 2006 he completed an amazing 500km vol bivouac flight around Nanga Parbat, and he returned again in 2008 to make an amazing tandem flight in the Fann and Turkestan range. Philippe, thank you for helping us to see what is possible… the altitudes and the journeys which we might not have imagined possible before. We will never forget your skill and sense of adventure, and the view of the world that you afforded us through your stories and photos. Although we will miss future adventures with you, we have so much respect for the accomplishments you achieved in such a short time.
