Eleven countries were participating in 2022 World Paramotor Championships, which took place in Saquarema, Brazil during 10 days of April. There were 43 pilots flying in the most prestigious PF1 class (foot launch), 18 in PL1 class (single trike) and 6 teams of the PL2 (tandem trike).

Italian pilot Pasquale Biondo won the World Champion Title flying the Ozone Viper 5.

Boris Tysebaert finished 1st in PL1 single trike class also flying the Viper 5. 2nd place was taken by Michael Merle flying Ozone Freeride.

Other Ozone team pilots Alex Mateos (5), Nicolas Aubert (6), Marie Mateos (8),  Sando Passeri (9) finished in the top 10, all of them flying the Viper 5.

Alex Mateos, who was holding the World Champion Title since 2014, flew incredibly well throughout the event, scored maximum 1000 points in 4 out of 8 tasks but he was unlucky to have engine problem, scored zero in two tasks, which unfortunately put him in the 5th position in the final results.

Marie Mateos naturally was the best female pilot, although there were only two girls competing and both flying Ozone wings.  Marie finished 8th.  Second female pilot was Brazilian Marcia Farkouh flying foot launch and the Sirocco 3 18. She took 25th position overall.

Nicolas Aubert finished 6th in overall results, he scored max points in two tasks.

Five out of ten top pilots were flying the Viper 5 in the class PF1. Two Ozone pilots on the podium in PL1.

The winning nation was the French Team.
