The 1st FAI World Paramotor Slalom Championships was held from the 9 – 16 September in Aspres-sur-Buech, in France. The event was significant for our sport, as it was the first ever slalom precision competition. There were 80 pilots competing from 18 countries, and it was great to see so many Ozone Slalom wings flown by not only European pilots, but also guests from Thailand, Qatar and China.
The weather was difficult, but we managed to complete and validate 6 tasks. 4 Polish and 4 French pilots entered the finals, 3 of which were flying Ozone wings. The best French pilot was, once again, Ozone team pilot Alex Mateos, who won the title of Vice-World Champion flying his Slalom 19. Emilia Plak (Slalom 16) was the best female pilot in this competition, followed by Coralie Mateos (Slalom 19).
Congratulations everyone, and thanks for flying Ozone!
