The Jet Para Hawks is the United Kingdom’s first and only foot-launch display team, comprising some of the country’s most accomplished paramotor pilots.
The team performs high-energy routines at airshows and public events using Ozone Freeride wings. Their distinguishing feature is the use of custom-built jet packs—designed in-house by engineer Allan Hewitt—instead of conventional petrol engines.
After securing CAA Display Authorisation, the Jet Para Hawks made their public debut at the Paramotor Slalom World Championships in Qatar in early 2024, followed by a performance at the Philippine International Balloon Fiesta. The team has since appeared at the Weston Park Airshow, the Buttermere Bash, and the East Kirkby Airshow in the United Kingdom, as well as at Flygfesten in Sweden, one of Europe’s largest civilian airshows, which draws more than 50,000 spectators over its three-day programme.
"My Jet Para Hawk teammates and I are thoroughly enjoying the unique opportunities our display flying has created," said leader Gordie Oliver. "We can’t wait to continue our quest to spread our ‘paralove’ message wide and far."
