Nicolas Aubert

Where do you live?
In the South of Spain – Malaga

What do you do for work?
I work in the PAP Factory with my father, that is one of the first paramotor brands. Apart of this work I also do exhibitions around the world and competitions

What year, and how old were you when you started flying?
I started  flying Paramotor in  2010, I was 13 . In paragliding I did my first flights in the 2007 with 10 years

Did a family member introduce you to paragliding? Does anyone else in your family fly?
My father introduce me to the sport. At first when I was very young I didn’t like flying. But we were going to all the meetings because my father has to go for work, and when I was 9 he bought me a glider and I started to play on the ground with it, did a tandem and little by little he taught me.

What other passions do you have, or activities do you enjoy?
Apart of Paramotor and Paragliding, I also do Kitesurf, that was my first sport. Kitesurf I started at the age of 7 and I did a few national competitions but when I discovered paramotor I stopped and now I only do it for fun. Also I practice Snowboard and Surf.

Why is flying important to you, and what does flying mean to you?
For me flying is very important because is my way to disconnect,  you can go wherever you want… is unique. It is a way to reach unique places, places  that no many people can reach, and have a different perspective of the place. Flying has given me the opportunity to make friends around the world and know different cultures.

Do you have any goals, dreams or plans for the next 1-2 years that you want to share?
As everybody competing in the sport, I want to become World Champion. In 2018 I finished Vice World Paramotor Champion and my goal for the next year is to beat my team mate current champion, Alexandre Mateos 😉
