As anyone involved with Speedflying knows, Carl Weiseth was an incredible pilot and an even more impressive person. We at Ozone are deeply saddened by his passing and will miss his wonderfully kind presence in our company and our sport. Carl was one of the most prolific supporters of the Speedflying community – he helped to restructure training and education, founded Speedfly.com, and was one of Ozone’s most dedicated team pilots. The sport is massively better off for his involvement and we will be forever grateful for his contributions.

Carl was a prolific creator. His energy could be seen in the steep flowing lines he painted down the biggest mountains in the Alps and the western USA, and also in the other businesses he founded including the artistic Third Eye Pinecones, which was so successful that it provided for his rapid entry into flying sports. His creativity was the best kind in that his ideas weren’t just original, they were also practical, and he had the drive and capability to turn them into reality. As a result, Carl accomplished an amazing amount in his time here and we were very proud to count him as a friend. Carl’s friend network spans the globe - we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and the many other people who were close to him.
