At the first PXP Paramotor Speed Race, held from the 12th to the 16th of October in Spain, pilots from all over Europe came together to battle it out in a race of pure speed. However, the rules were strict: Pilots could only fly EN certified Paramotor wings within the certified weight range. This was an interesting twist for the pilots who entered, as expert PPG pilots generally fly wings at well above the certified weight range.

We are very happy to announce that the Speedster 26, flown by Mathieu Rouanet, has taken first place overall! Second place overall was taken by Benito Susa, flying his Viper 2 28. Wings from all major PPG brands were present at the competition. The comp website is not yet updated for results, but can be seen here.

Speed is often touted as the single most important factor of Paramotor wings, and pilots around the world are deeply concerned with how fast their wings can fly. A difference of even 1km/h can mean that your friends will slowly fly away from you on a long flight, so we do understand why this is important to many pilots. However, for us at Ozone, we have always focused on a "True Performance" philosophy, which dictates that every aspect of the wing has to be good in real conditions in order for it to truly perform up to our expectations. For all of our wings, we strive to combine safety, agility, and comfort with the standard performance parameters in order to deliver a wing that excels for pilots in every sense, and doesn't "just" fly fast.

We developed the Speedster for pilots who wanted an easy to launch, comfortable, and stable yet agile full reflex wing which delivers the speed that you have asked us for. Feedback so far has been excellent, and although we're very proud of this race result and feel that it proves that we have achieved our performance goals, for us the most important award is hearing back from happy Ozone pilots around the world.
