Christophe Charon has taken first in the Tandem category with his navigator and teammate, Alexandre Bouin, on their Speedster 33m. This was the duo's third championship title in the foot launch category. Christophe received his new Speedster only 10 days before the championships, and had only 3 flights of training before the competition.

The conditions at the French Champs this year were perhaps the most windy and turbulent conditions ever seen at a valid championship event, and Christophe reported that the speed and collapse resistance of the Speedster during the turbulent tasks was a major asset and that its stability, coupled with the ease of launch and accuracy in the competition spot landings, made it a fun wing to win with.
