We've always developed wings to fill clear gaps in our own flying. For our first dedicated parakite, we drew on more than twenty years of knowledge across paragliders, speed wings, paramotors and foil kites.
We initially retrofitted a bridle system to the Viper, as its three-line layout, high speed, and inherent stability made it a logical starting point. However, parakiting requires unique aerodynamic characteristics. A modified paramotor wing was not enough.
So, we completely reengineered the concept. We developed a dedicated profile, adjusted the canopy thickness, altered the size and position of the cell openings, repositioned the attachment tabs, and created a new planform and line rigging.
We collaborated with pilot Tom Viethen to establish clear handling benchmarks, while our kite R&D team shared insights from their racing foil kite developments. This cross-pollination allowed us to refine both the internal structure and sail tension.
Durability was a key requirement because parakite canopies experience significant friction and stress on the ground. That is why we selected robust fabrics and reinforced high-stress areas to ensure long-term reliability.
The result is the Vapor, a sport class parakite designed for accessible performance. In the air, pilots will experience a wide range of usable glide angles, direct control, and strong pitch stability. The solid sail structure gives predictable handling and total trust in active conditions.
