The Mojo 4 is an evolution of the Mojo 3 in terms of design, but the mission remains the same: Offer the highest level of performance in the beginner category without compromise in the safety and ease of use.
Optimised sail construction for lighter weight: New cloth, new structure, new Leading Edge reinforcements.
Lighter weight means easier ground-handling and better launch characteristics, as well as a more precise feel in the air and better re-inflation behaviour. The M size is now 800g lighter than its predecessor.
The Mojo 4’s increased ease of use is one of the most important new features: An easier and more forgiving wing will deliver more pleasure to the pilot in the air and while ground-handling.
Reductions in drag have led to increased performance, which has allowed us to reduce the surface area of the wing. While maintaining the same ease for launching and landing, the slight reduction in surface greatly improves the ease of inflation (due to a lighter sail, less span, shorter lines, and less wing volume to inflate) and offers a more similar feel to wings in the category above. We think the Mojo 4 is more precise, easier to control, and more fun and forgiving than other wings in its class.
A new plan-form has led to a better load distribution, which means cleaner feedback, and a more progressive feel during inflation. This helps newer pilots to experience more control and more successful launches and flights.
The cell openings have been redesigned. The Mojo 4’s leading edge is now open across the entirety of the span. This has created a more efficient airflow around this part of the leading edge, for a smoother feel in all conditions.
New line material (new sheathed Aramid lines from Edelrid) has given the Mojo 4 an 8% reduction in line drag.
Trailing edge mini-ribs, introduced in the Mojo 3, will also be included in the Mojo 4. This excellent feature provides a genuine performance advantage without any detriments.
The arc has also been improved, for better roll stability.
Finally, we have improved the progressive feel in the brakes, reducing unwanted mini-movements and helping to minimize pilot oscillation.
