BAR SYSTEM

Bar System

This warning is to show you the different options for attaching your safety leash to the bar for use with the Instinct Light, Instinct Sport and Instinct Edge. All 3 kites work on the same 2007 Ozone Bar. Please also make sure you read the supplied Manual.

BEGINNERS AND DURING LAUNCH ATTACH THE LEASH TO THE RED O-SHIT HANDLE
For beginners or riders that wish to be connected to the “flag-out” safety option attach safety leash to the red handle shown here. In an emergency situation when the rider releases the chicken loop the kite will flag-out and remain attached to the rider in this configuration. It is recommended to attach here while launching your kite.

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED RIDERS CLIPPING LEASH TO DEPOWER LINE
The Instinct’s PRIMARY safety is to release the bar or push the bar away to depower the kite. If the rider is using the Ozone leash (supplied with the kite) attached above to the depower line (chickenloop line) and activates the chicken loop release or is riding unhooked and drops the bar the kite will DEPOWER at edge of the wind window. The kite is still connected to the rider by the safety leash. This is the preferred safety leash attachment point for intermediate to advanced riders. In an emergency the rider would release the chickenloop and then also release the safety leash
