Zephyr >> Light wind FUN
Since its release the Zephyr has enabled riders of all levels to have fun and excel in light winds. Whether you are into cruising in light winds, practicing freestyle or dominating races, the Zephyr is the kite for you.
Congratulations to our team riders - Torrin Bright winning the PKRA Speed Crossing, and Kari Schibevaag winning the KPWT Overall Women’s world title, both using the Zephyr to help them get there.
Ozone customers and team riders have been giving us constant feedback and photos of the Zephyr in use.

Super easy ridden kite, just touch the bar and off you go. Works really well in weak and gusty winds, the kites kind of just floats in the air and pulls you forward. It parks well for wakestyle and slider hits but is still responsive when turning. Relaunch is no problem even in silly winds.

Have I told you about the Mr.???
Sandra, this is a revolucionary kite!!
I only didn’t find the engine yet!!! or is it that Mr. Zephyr should be called Mr. Zeppelin??
Because, that has to have an engine running to be able to allow us to ride with such low wind…
And, the way it stands there in the sky… It really must have helium inside… not possible otherwise!!!
I can only say it’s my 1st choice!
Cheers

HUGO
After reading, looking at pictures and some more reading… i finally put my hands on the 17m Zephyr.
Out of the bag a massive piece of kite in a roll. When pumped up it’s amazing the size of this beast, but the really amazing thing is the handling of the kite, seams that i’m on a 13 or a 14m kite. Very nice in very light winds. I tested it with 10 to 12 knots with an 127cm kiteboard, and what a day. No one could ride that day.. far away you could just see the Zephyr in all it’s glory making a huge smille on the rider. Construction of the kite is what we are accustomed from Ozone “bomb prof” and a very good looking colour scheme. Almost forgot… it kiteloops very well for a kite this big
The relaunch of the kite from the water is very easy… like a friend of mine says: “there must be an engine in one of the struts to keep it going”
One day, of very light wind about 4 to 5 knot i decided to go out and try go give it a go with my landboard. You could just see the look on everybodies faces when i passed them.
The Zephyr is a winner, very good job from the Ozone team!!!
Regards
Hugo

KARI SCHIBEVAAG
The kite that gave me the 1st position in race in KPWT 09.
Zephyr is my favourite racing kite, when there is 5 knots I can go racing with good power in the kite. Zephyr has helped me a lot this season, and I think if I did not have this kite I would also not be the Champion in KPWT 09. Is a light wind kite that I use for racing, but also it’s really easy kite for freestyle, its moving fast and it’s easy to handle. I made a movie and here you can see that I am kiting with no wind. I was impressed how the kite is moving with nearly light wind. It’s pulling me and I can have fun in the water when all the other ones are sitting watching me. I was also thinking that it would be hard to re-launch a 17 m kite with nearly no wind, but also here it impressed me. Look at the movie and you can see.

TORRIN BRIGHT
The Zephyr is an awesome light wind freestyle and race kite. It enables you to ride with power and have fun in winds that you would usually be waiting on the beach.
I used the Zephyr in the Speed Crossing event and won it, at the 2009 PKRA New Caledonia. The race was a straight line to Anse Vata, taking a slight down wind veer-off. The Zephyr performed super well, flying fast with nice power to keep moving even though going down wind. The Zephyr is excellent for crossings, light wind races and freestyle.
